Project Introduction
In 1954, Stanislavsky Theatre, as the first touring art troupe invited to visit China since the founding of the People's Republic of China, brought its Swan Lake to China for the first time with the choreographer and ballet master Vladimir Burmestre. The "cloth version" of Swan Lake is famous for its extreme respect and interpretation of Tchaikovsky's original music, and is considered to be the "most retro" and "most pure" version.
70 years later, in 2024, Watershed, together with Pauli Culture, will bring the Stanislavski Theatre Ballet and the cloth version of Swan Lake to China again, paying tribute to this immortal classic and the friendship and exchange between the two countries for more than 70 years. The performance lineup is led by a number of Russian "people's artists" and "meritorious artists" in the theater, and the tour has traveled through three major cities: Beijing, Shanghai and Shenzhen.
